6.7 Midi setup malfunction + firewire issue
I have a problem with midi on 6.7 - I really have
When you use an Rtas softsynt sometimes you reach the CPU limits. In this case with softsynt Garritan Personal Orchestra plug breaks. Thats cool - but - when I restart Machine/Protools midi wont work. I have to trash my user/Library midi prefs everytime. Then upon restart it works again, Tedious business - Digi can you make this go awaaaay! (please) Ive got a pretty odd system anyway - doesnt make it easier. OSX 10.3.4, Protools 6.7 cs1, Powerbook 1 GHz, 1 GB RAM. CB2 magma chassi with HD1 core, 96 i/o, Firewiredrives. Oh yeah while Im here - Digi please check the firewire issue with apple - I just wanna upgrade to 10.3.6 - but protools just crashed when I hit play (firewire bug) in 10.3.5 so I had to downgrade to 10.3.4 to make PT work. That meant installing from 10.3 and up - Ouch! Im afraid the firewire problem isnt resolved - or is it? Hit me! Mr Simon Dean |
