Default Audio plays before waveform?

Hi folks,

I think I've had this issue once before, but don't recall how to resolve it.
The audio is heard before the playhead reaches the waveform, so it makes editing very hard....

I saw an earlier post here mentioning to turn off delay compensation and up the H/W buffer size. I tried it but no dice...

I also tried unchecking "Ignore Errors during Record/Playback", but that didn't do anything either.

Any ideas?
