Ugh? No? The question was answered perfectly OK. A HD Native system will run AAX plugins (those that are not DSP only). Of course those run on the native/host processor.

Personally I would not lose a second's sleep worrying about that. It really seem like just creating worry when there is no need. The HD Native cards were designed to take Pro Tools to 64 bit and I expect will make up a significant percentage of HD deployments as people migrate off HD to HD Native and HDX.

That may be the real question I was interested in.

Of course it will. Anything released in the last year will certainly see several future versions of Pro Tools.

Jmmy, the question was about Native AAX. And they already run on my Native card just fine.

I've grown to like it quite a bit.

To everyone: Yes, yes, I know, yes, you're right, yes, but you're wrong too.

Just pointing out a weakness in the communally accepted semantics. No plugin can run "on" HD Native (i.e. an HD Native interface card). Plugins can run "on" HD and now HDX cards. And of course, native plugins can run "in" Pro Tools.

I know everyone's on edge with all the new hoopla, but don't let it look like a crack binge.
