Default record enabled track issues Protools M Powered

Ok, so I record enable a track and with nothing else playing I can hear it through my headphones. When I play back other tracks on the same song I have to actually hit record to hear the record enabled track. ie, so if I want to sing along and hear my track im recording through headphones and hear the rest of the tracks to get levels, I have to hit record and actually record it. Hope this makes some sense. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Protools M Powered 8
PC Quad Core
Windows 7 64 bit
Profire 2626

Hello.

Try to toggle between Auto Input and Input Only monitoring: Press Alt+K (Windows) or Option+K (Mac).
