Wow. Time does fly past so quickly. My health fails, things can look bleak one day, semi bleak the next. Hard to be all excited when you are in pain. And so, I had written a bitchy post. Then I reread it and decided to hit delete.

PT is what it is. To buy it today and then complain over and over is like going to a cattle ranch and being pissed when you step in..

It is a love/hate thing. Go to other forums, and you will find the same thing. But, Digi does listen. They do reply. We do not always get what we want, but at least we usually know where we stand. Apple? Nope. Logic users will be hard put to deny it. Cubendo? Hahaha.. yeah, search for Cubendo and then come back here. And so it goes. "What about.. Reaper?" Ahh! What a nice.. distraction. Different workflow, different impetus behind it. "New feature list" for each release is typically larger than the typical menu a right-click in Reaper will produce . Sorry, but I feel.. lost. lol.

001. Wow. Amazing piece. Wish we would get a PCIe based LE system. Firewire is just so... So today I will remember a long lost friend. The 001. When PARIS fell and burned, I could not afford to immediately go out and fund a TDM system for home, and buy a new Mac.. plus switching to OS? at the time was something I did not want to do (tho I had owned Macs before). 001 to the rescue!!! And then the Mbox. What a cool little I/O.. was so nice to have while I was bed ridden for months.

I would love this 10th anny bring a composer's dream feature set to LE. I know it won't happen. Might not ever. But is it what PT was meant to do? PT replaced my need to spend $$$ on reel after reel of tape for cutting demos. Saving ideas. It allowed me to have an affordable home solution.

Since I cannot raise a glass of wine, I will raise a glass of water (as I down an oxycodone) in salute! Thx for the ride Digi! And all hail to the fallen hero.. the trailblazer.. The 001!!!

As much as some of us bitch about LE I think it's safe to say we're all happy LE is still looking down at the grass and not up at it.
