A Real World Test.....
i have a g4 400 mhz/384 megs/2 audio drives..
i was very impressed by my results cus ive heard ppl here say that on there 400 they can only get about 10 to 15 plugs if that... so here we go.. with my buffer set to max 1024 85% usage.. i ran 23 tracks with a stereo aux track. this was a real session. i was able to put 13 mono digi 4 band eq's.. 6 mono digi comp's .. 6 st comppressor banks.. 6 st 4 band filter banks from mcdsp..thats 31 plugs ins on audio traks with diff setting for each track. tried adding real verb and it played for a minute and crashed... i think this is pretty good for this machine.. screen draw backs were slow of course but i was able to bounce the song down with no problem.. i usally would never use this many processing tools since i do hiphop and i process material pre digi.. but i was nice to know.. imagine whut a new 1 ghz will do...
