Output to Mains On?off?

This is driving me crazy! I am trying to hook my 11R to a PA, simple, basic, easy. Wrong. When I connect an XLR cable from either the left or right Main output on the 11R to an input on my mixer, there is no sound, no signal. However, when I use either of the Guitar Outputs on the 11R (using a standard 1/4" cable) to the mixer, everything works perfectly.

I've read through the manuals and there isn't any mention that I need to route the output to the mains, turn them "on", but I'm wondering what simple thing I am overlooking.

I can use the guitar outputs I suppose, but not all mixers accept a 1/4" cable input. I can always just get a 1/4" to XLR cable, but this seems wrong.

Any obvious reason I can't get an output signal when connecting the Main Outputs?

I don't think you should have to do anything special. I took XLR cable to TRS & plugged straight into my mixer & it works... I have no idea if the amp outputs work, haven't had the need to try yet.

Not especially intuitive. Hold the Edit button and go to User Options. Scroll to 'Volume Control'

There are selections for 'Main Mute' and 'Phones Mute'.

Great options, just not real easy to find and the manual says nothing.

It actually is in the user guide, page 90 of the PDF, or just search "mute" in the PDF.

You can also mute/unmute these option with the on-screen editor.

One thing to note is that if an output is muted when you turn the rack OFF, when you turn it back ON, it may look like the output is not muted (button is not lit) so if you are not getting output, the first thing to try is cycle the mute buttons.
