Actually, that's a very bad 'advertisement' for that piece of equipment. The tones were all very similiar, the playing was very meh and uninsipiring. To be perfectly honest I didn't hear the tones switch but by that point I was so bored I didn't really listen for it. And the talking - the guy from Fractal sounded "really" enthusiastic . And talk about question leading .

All-in-all a terrible 'advertisement' from a product that is going to revolutionize the world - apparently. You'd think they would've had something kick@rR$3 planned for "Premier Guitar" . Oh well, I guess Fractal know what they are doing!

Yes they did, just like the 11R probably took inspiration in parts from the Axe. From where I'm standing that's healthy competition, and the ability to recognize good ideas and implement it in your own is what drives progress which is always good for the users.
That only works when there are more than one big player though, so I don't see the point in trying to determine which product is the absolute best and only valid choice.
Both the 11R and the AXE are great products in their own rights, let's celebrate the fact that we have freedom of choice, just like we might prefer Les Pauls or Strats...or heck both!

That review wasn't an advertisement, so I can't really agree with Vercingetorix. Although I'll admit the sound samples were very similar but I think that's mostly down to the fact that the guitarist was playing the same type of things with the same technique all along. In any case, I find Premier Guitar reviews to be bland at best...

wow you really read A LOT into that didnt you.

I just said Axe took many ideas from the 11R, i did not offer denunciation, condemnation, nor comparison. Just stating a fact.

So that shows that you don't understand why I used that word in that context, and why I used the word "advertisement" with the quotation marks around the term.

Anytime you speak for a company whether you are on a phone, writing, or on a YouTube video you are an "advertising" the company. Perhaps you would choose another word. But this boring, unenthusiatic clown didn't do a good of selling the company or the product - yeah, this is the Axe FX, yeah, it does this and that, I really don't care, blah, blah, blah.

And this is the product that is going to set the world on fire - you certainly didn't get that feeling from this review/product demonstation. Even the poor guy from Premier Guitar tried to get the guy to open up - in the end even he stopped trying.

I didn't even make it to the end of the video because it was so bloody boring. So all-in-all it's a bad "advertisement".
