Worldwide Availability of FREE Pro Tools Coming Soon!

In a couple of weeks, everyone in the world will be able to go to our homepage, http://www.digidesign.com, and click on a link to the order form for our free CD of Pro Tools 3.4.

We had planned on making the Free Pro Tools 3.4 CDs available internationally sooner, but we have been overwhelmed by requests for our free offer here in the US and Canada.

After already processing tens of thousands of orders in the US and Canada, and continuing to process more, we expect to have an online order form for international users around mid-May .

The ONLY way you will be able to order the Pro Tools 3.4 CD is from our web site; we cannot process any orders any other way. (phone, email or fax) This great offer has created a huge demand, so we will not be able to check on individual orders or process them in any way other than filling out the form on the web site.

Thanks for your patience! -Digidesign

Amp Farm Now Shipping!

Amp Farm, the guitar recording plug-in for TDM, uses Line 6's revolutionary new, patent-pending physical modeling technology called TubeTone to bring the warmth and feel of classic tube guitar amplifiers to PCI-based Pro Tools TDM systems. Process a direct guitar signal as you record, or process pre-recorded tracks and tweak your amp sound right up to the final mix. It's the easiest, fastest, and most powerful way to record guitar with a TDM system.

Amp Farm requires PCI-based Pro Tools TDM hardware. NuBus hardware is not supported. Amp Farm will also work great with other TDM-compatible software - like MotU Digital Performer, Opcode Vision, EMagic Logic Audio, and Steinberg Cubase. Pro Tools TDM hardware is required - Amp Farm does not run as a VST, Pure DSP, Premiere, or other format plug-in.

What's it got?

Thanks to TubeTone, the Amp Farm software plug-in includes a truly incredible collection of guitar tones, modeled from a collection of specific, sought-after amplifiers. The TubeTone Amp models were developed from in-depth studies of eight different amplifiers: a Fender Twin; Fender Blackface Deluxe Reverb; Fender Bassman; Marshall JCM 800; Marshall Plexi; Marshall JTM45; and Vox AC 30 top boost and non-top boost.

By the way, Fender, Marshall, Vox, Roland and other amplifier models are all trademarks of their respective owners, which are in no way associated or affiliated with Line 6. We worked with their amplifiers to develop TubeTone and the TubeTone Amp Models, but we did so independently and without other maunfacturers' participation. So our use of these and other manufacturers' trademarks is solely for the purpose of describing certain amplifier tones produced using Line 6's TubeTone modeling technology. It all boils down to the fact that Line 6's TubeTone modeling technology provides Amp Farm with a wide variety of sounds modeled after some of the most popular sounds of these classic amps.

With Amp Farm, you can easily record great tones modeled from these classic amps on a PCI-based TDM system, including tweakable, programmable EQ modeled from the original amps' tone controls.

How's it work?

You plug your guitar right into your Pro Tools interface - no mic'ing up amps, no special pickups or other gimmicks. Pull up the Amp Farm TDM Plug-In in your Pro Tools session, and you get your amp on-screen. Set the knobs the way you like 'em, and lay down your tracks. Then, any time you want, you can go back to those same tracks, and adjust your Amp Farm amp setup, with full automation. Switch amps on the fly. Tweak your tone. And everything you do can be stored right in your Pro Tools session.

How do I get it?

Amp Farm will be distributed by Digidesign and sold through Digidesign Pro Tools TDM dealers. The suggested U.S. Retail Price is $595. International prices may vary.
