Avid CoreAudio Manager cannot be opened because of a problem
Getting this message when trying to use Logic (9 or X) and my Avid HDX card as the audio engine.
Used to work fine but I installed HD11.1.3 last week as I thought I might make the switch eventually, but it has replaced the Avid CoreAudio Manager in the Apps/Utilities folder with the newer one (CAM 11.1.3.325) and now when I try to launch anything that use CoreAudio I get this message (see attached screenshot).
The old CAM (10.3.9.462) is in the Avid/Pro Tools folder still and I can launch this independently and it opens fine but none of my audio apps (Logic/Ableton.Waveburner etc.) are able to select the older version as I'm guessing they are automatically looking for it in the Utilities folder and are only seeing 11.
Guess I could just replace the 11.1.3 version with the older one in the Utilities folder but how will that affect things when I use PT11? Does it even matter?
And more to the point, why doesn't the newer version work?
Any ideas/thoughts?
