Default Locate the Waves 8.0 plug ins problem

I just installed the Pro Tools 10, once I run the software, it asks me to "locate the waves 8.0 plug ins folder".I don't know what to do,please help.Thanks!

the first time you install waves it will ask this question. It's located in your applications folder in there waves folder in it Waves Plug-Ins folder.

I just clicked cancel,but it can still run the software,weird.....

Yes, but it won't run the Waves plugins. This is totally normal behavior.

And there is no wave folder in my applications, what should I do?

Did you buy any Waves plugins and, if so, did you install them?

hi:
Waves have their own architecture and it is tricky. Best is to call Waves they are friendly, snd very knowledgable!once you call they will walk you through the process. They put some files /folders in Strange places so one can not figure it out avoiding cracked copies for being used.
Before you call make sure pt 10 is competible with V8.0 of waves not srue, I am on Pt 9.06 and v8.
