Dropping in … No audio !?
On the HDX rig…
So I'm printing to my mix print track… mixing on the fly. All fine. Then if I stop to roll back & drop in, it drops in, but prints blank… no audio. Restart, ok again. :-( Most annoying. Anyone else had this ?

Did you check the “Task Manager” ?
Pro Tools first “analyse” the audio imported, then writes the waveform, then you can play that audio file. Until the “analysing” is done, the file will not be heard even if you play the project and you can hear the other tracks. task manager.jpeg
