System 5 MC/XMON can't turn off MUTE... HELP!
Hello all,
For some reason, my "mute" led is lit on my XMON, but the "cut" button won't turn it on or off. I've tried all sorts of things. Anyone have any ideas? I can't hear anything from the speakers or headphones. VERT frustration. Thanks

Hi,
I just want to be sure we got this issue resolved? I saw some emails the same day this was posted, and just want to confirm that this is the same person? Thanks! H.G. |

Re: System 5 MC/XMON can't turn off MUTE... HELP!
Here is the response I got from AVID, and it worked.
"Hello Frank, If the red mute button is on that usually means the XMON has lost communication with the midi interface and the XMON software. If you are using the XMON software with a MAC, right click on the XMON icon in the tray and make sure the XMON is looking at the correct midi device port. Typically this is the M-Audio uno usb to midi or similar device. Once you right click on the XMON icon that device should be in the list of midi devices to choose from. This should then allow the XMON to talk to the MC and the mute light go out."
