Default two PT 6.1 general usage questions

1) timed autosave? is there a function built in that i am not locating? saving the session every x minutes...?

2) suddenly the session is 700 minutes long! how do i get rid of all that blank space and get back to being able to scroll through only the several minutes that it really is...

you might want to trim the blank parts of your audio regions. Then you need to "compact" your regions in the sessions.

It's under Setups-> Preferences-> Operations-> Auto Save

You most likely have automation brake-points or audio "slivers" beyond the end of your music. You need to drag along the time-line ruler (to highlight all tracks) from when your session actually ends to just beyond the end of the "extra" space. Change the view to first display regions on all tracks, hit delete. Then, while this whole area is still highlighted, change all tracks to view volume automation. Hold down the control key and hit delete again. This will delete ALL automation playlist types on all tracks.

i'm having this problem again, where sessions have 700 extra minutes. deleting everything and control-deleting graphing doesn't work..
