Default OT - PT / REAPER sound settings (and shortcuts)

I know, probably not the best place for this. I've recorded a few things in PT 8 and also in REAPER. Mainly my acoustic guitar with two mics, one panned hard left, the other hard right. I don't want to say they sound different because I need to do more testing. But, thought I would check anyway about pan laws and such. Do I need to change anything in either program so that recorded audio in either should sound the same to me? Pan Laws?

Second, I know a few hard core PT users here have created shortcuts/key commands in REAPER to emulate PT. Anyone mind sharing these?

Thank you

(this stems from trying to record a simple session with two tracks and getting the bloody play/pause issue and buffer setting errors)

Change the pan law in REAPER to 2.5. This will duplicate the PT pan law.

I started to overhaul all mine and will probably post them when I complete them at some point. It definitely makes using both programs a lot easier with the same keyboard shortcuts.

We just want to record our music and not be computer technicians.

Reaper has its own forum and they answer reaper questions pretty quickly.
