Default Slowing Down Tempo w/ Audio Tracks

This is probably the simplest question but still I am not sure what to do & have tried a few things.

Using PT 7.1.2 LE on PC: Just want to know how I can slow down the song I am working on - so the audio plays slower (so I can check a few things/spots which are hard to discern when playing at the normal 140 tempo). And I am ONLY listening to audio tracks right now (NOT any midi). I tried a few things using the transport but no luck.

Thank you..

I hit Ctrl+Shift+spacebar - but it just says "No tracks are record enabled".

· Half-speed Playback: Shift + Spacebar.
· Very Slow to Very Fast Playback: Start Key + 1 through 9 on the Numeric keypad will start Playback at very slow to very fast speed with 5 being normal speed on up to two tracks while in Shuttle Lock Mode. Pressing “+” or “-" will change direction, pressing a different number will change speeds. Press Numeric Keypad 0 to stop Playback, press a Playback Speed Number to resume Shuttle Lock Speed. Press Escape or Spacebar to exit Shuttle Lock Mode. Set the Custom Shuttle Lock Speed for Start Key + Numeric Keypad 9 under Preferences>Operation. This can be set between 50% and 800%. The default is 800% and the setting is saved as a Global Preference, not just with the session.

Cheers,

Thank you. I know about straight 1/2 speed.

And I tried using Start + #'s - definitely a useful tool if you want to isolate 1 or 2 tracks only. Thanks!

But I am still curious if there is a way (& HOW) to: simply slow down (or speed up, but in this case slow down - manually if possible) the playback of PT audio tracks - just for listening/evaluating purposes. And in doing so affecting many (or all) tracks, not just 1 or 2 - the same way it does iwhen simply triggering the 1/2 speed - playing all active tracks - (but giving you more control to vary playback speeds than simply normal or 1/2).

Again, many thanks..
