Default Freezing faders on mix window

Hello,

I got a really strange issue with Pro tools 12.8.2 :

Sometimes, all faders in the mix windows become randomly frozen (so in the S6 too..) : You can still edit, add insert and edit insert, create manually some automation, they will be written. But you can’t access to the faders on the mix window and the pan also : they are frozen.
The only way to get them back is to quit pro tools (no need to force quit) and launch again.

It happened on several pro tools session with different medias.

The issue happens randomly. The last time I tried, I had the problem on a session three time (so after 3 relaunch) at the same moment : juste after launching this session, everything works fine but when starting recording and writing autom, the freeze appears instantly...

Any idea please ?

Weird problem - I'd try trashing preferences and a clean reinstall of Pro Tools.

Hi Chris,

I tried a lot of things yesterday :

- working in local, without active directory and leaving the domain ; same issue.

- trashing PT prefs and a clean reinstall of Pro tools and plug-ins ; same issue.

- Use another Z440 with other HDX card, other AJA card, other GPU card, new install ; same issue.

...

The only thing I did not try is to do my tests with another template. Also there is some third party plug-ins installed and used in this template : Sonnox DSP, Waves... I will try without them.

Hello,

For the moment I found a workaround : If I do not start the record at session start, the problem does not appear. So I just need to put session start to 00:58:00:00 for exemple and start the first clip at 01:00:00:00 where I put a "start" marker.

This works, but it's just a workaround....
