Pro Tools ERROR 1104

Hello,

Im getting this message when trying to open up session:


Could not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/200028/ProTools/NewFileLibs/FF/Audio/FF_AudioFile.cpp", line 1104.

Has anyone had this error, if so how did you get rid of it>>>>Thanks

Pro tools 12.7.1
OS X El Capitan
Version 10.11.6

Bro I'm getting the same exact message and I am stuck. Did you ever find out how to get through this? Every one tells us to tradh preferences and open playback settings but it doesn't work.

try opening pro tools while holding the "N" key ... choose your playback engine ..

ok, can you open pro tools with a blank session ?? could this be a corrupted session ?? if you can open blank session, can you import session data from that session ???

and obviously you tossed prefs and all that fun and games ...

Thanks john. This is a different monster. All your steps have been tried with no success. The error is for more then one session.

Already did that. I'm gonna have to buy a Avid Support Code. This is my last option :'(

I've been getting this just recently. I've had PT12.7.1 installed since it came out with no issues until this started to crop up. I had to re-import an entire session back into a blank PT session to get it back. Then I tried that today and PT quit on me. This is pretty ridiculous. Once you get this you cannot open that session again, only import from it. I am working with AAFs so I was thinking that maybe that is the culprit but I'm not sure. Are people getting this error without working with AAFs?
