Default To Digidesign ; Feature missing from 6.2.2 ?

I have been working 95% of the time in the edit window only, having i/o strip open. In 6.1.1 if you clicked on the channel volume or pan a little slider would appear and you could adjust it. I found this very handy and a quick way to work instead of switching between edit and mix windows or bringing up the individual channel faders. Apart from that 6.2.2 on panther is great. Please put this feature back in.
Cheers,
Tim

Tim - I have a feeling this is a bug. I am having the same problem, and I did a full uninstall/reinstall, and the problem remains. I have submitted a bug report to Digi.

Could be that I'm using a Digi 001 on a G4, 6.2.2 and OS X 10.3.2, and the problem is isolated to that combination. Tubz, you're running a G5 (and certainly not the Digi 001), so this may not apply to you.

Both volume and pan sliders pop up just fine for me - I just checked. I'm running G4/10.3.2, Mbox,/PT LE 6.2.2

I have 6.2.2 running on a mac with digi 001 and i can select the volume and pan from the edit window and raise volume and change pan all within the edit window so it does work. try to download from digi site again. hope it works for you as well. Digi 001 works very well under panther 10.3.2 and pro tools 6.2.2

Well, I've done absolutely EVERYTHING suggested in the Digi troubleshooting suggestions, and then some. This includes a complete uninstall/reinstall, new user, etc., etc. I even reloaded the ATI driver update.

There is something clearly amiss with some configurations that prevents the volume and pan slider popup windows from appearing. I'm hoping that Digi will come up with an officially "endorsed" configuration for the Digi 001 and OS X 10.3.2 that cures this problem.

There's one more thing that I could try, and that's a complete OS reinstall. But geesh - that won't reveal WHERE the problem could be, except potentially the OS itself. I guess I'll wait for Digi's response.

Wow, I thought this post got lost ages ago. I still cant get the sliders up in the edit window. Maybe I will reinstall PT and see if that works. Ive just been to busy to muck around with it.
So, do I just throw my PTLE folder in the trash and reinstall off the disk?

cheers
Tim
