Just done 6 offline bounces to disc. Piece is 4mins 47secs long. Speed of bounce each time is 28 times normal. No problems at all.

Yes, I think it is HEAT specific, and is listed as a known issue with 12.8.1 - unfortunate, as this makes it almost unusable for many of us.

But no update from Izotope RX6 yet. Seem like there's more plugs that doesn't like this specific PT 12.8.1 update though.. maybe a combo. Like I said, looking for a top gadget for maxing problems / second, computers are in the lead... :)

Agreed. I'm experiencing a crash every time I try to quit 12.8.1, and it goes away if Guitar Rig 5.2.2 (the latest version) is removed from the plugins. Yes, this is a 3rd-party plugin, but it worked without this issue on 12.7.1 (I can't speak for 12.8.0, as I skipped that one).
This version is definitely fussier about many plugins which work fine on other setups.

I sold off my HD some time ago, and now use vanilla on Windows. It can't be just a HEAT specific issue. There's more to it than only that.

It DOES seem HDX / Heat specific, as I had no problems with offline stuff on my MacBook Pro. What it isn't is it seems not to be platform specific, as Windows AND Mac users have this issue.

AVIIID!!! Please fix / reply / mooo (anything at this point...)!
