artist control

My dealer says AVID stopped producing the Artist control. Is this true? I cant buy.
What to buy instead?

Look at either a used Control or maybe presonus controllers. There are many of them out there and it depends on budget and your fader count needs etc.

I'd look at combining an iPad running the CONTROL app and Artist MIX. After that, you might add either an Artist TRANSPORT, or a Presonus Faderport for some extra "hard" controls(the iPad app is great, but some things just feel better with physical buttons)

The Artist Control (not to be confused with the iPad App Control) was replaced by the Dock which is far superior. You can add an Artist Mix for more faders.

Not only that^^^ but remember that the Control app on iPad CAN'T work alongside of the Artist Control hardware. For sure, the DOCK is a much better piece than Artist Control

It works alongside Artist Control for sure these days. That problem was a long time ago and it worked here the last time we used it before selling our artist series.
