Default Unique Plug-In Lateny Issue only in 11, not 10

Hello all, this is my first post so try to bear with me, haha.

I know there are a lot of posts about latency issues in 11, but I haven't seen anything on this particular issue.

When I track and play back, everything is where it should be. No latency. As soon as I add a plug in, the latency begins, but this is the weird part. If I turn on Delay Compensation, the track that contains the plug in is on time, but the rest of the tracks fall behind. If I turn off Delay Compensation, the reverse happens. BUT, this problem does not actually appear until I simply arm and disarm another track that does not contain a plug in, which led me to believe that it is a bug. This appears to be happening with any plug in I use, and the amount of latency seems to be appropriate with the amount of delay compensation the plug in requires. The issue is non existent in 10. I am very puzzled by this.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

It sounds very similar to a problem I discovered a while ago in this thread:
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=345771

If it is not exactly the same, could you please try what I´m doing in the video and post if you see the same problem.

Regards,
Markus

If no one gets to this sooner, I'll have a go at this tonight to see if I can replicate this behavior.

I've duplicated this behavior and have kicked it up the chain.

Ok, hopefully this will be fixed since Top Jimmy has duplicated this.
Till then you can use the trick I did in the video as a work around.
Just make your outputs inactive and active again

Regards,
Markus

This is an odd problem. If its a bug, why aren't we all experiencing it? I havent had any latency issues with 11 no matter what I do. But I'm on Win-7. Maybe its a Mac thing?

Have you tried what I did in the video in the other thread?

Markus

Avid has recognized this bug and it is now in the official tracking system. There is no information as to when a fix will be provided.

Which plugin? Have you trashed preferences? I had 1 time when delay comp was wrong, but turning it off and back on put things back in order here.
