Is g5 up to stuff for PT/mbox ?

well seems like things have settled down around hear ... but I would like to know about g5 and mbox experiences .. are those noises going away ? is apple fixing this problem ..I did a demo on a HD2 system with a g5 1.6 no baddd sounds coming forth ..
does this mean I'll need to sell the barn ?
