Midi setup for ext pad

Greetings,

I have a Roland SPD 20 drum pad I want to setup. I'm using an 003 and only have one midi input on my master keyboard. (003 also only has one midi in)

I can run the pad with a separate midi setup on the Mac directly into the 003 but can't run it with the master keyboard at the same time. Any advice on what I need to be able to have the pad, and master keyboard running at the same time?

can u plug the keyboard in USB? or does the keyboard have a midi thru option?

Got it to go- Thanks. Mac midi studio does not have a thru option but I found I could just run the virtual cable a second time to the 003.

I use a midi merge box to combine a roland TD10 brain and a Motif es8(separate outputs back to each).
