Default Ebay Protools Purchase?

I'm looking to buy a MBox2 from Ebay(new & unregistered). Is this a good ideal? Any horror stories out there? Any sellers I should avoid?
Thanks

I bought my 002 from Ebay and it was great, saved a good $1000 too. Just make sure that you can register it under your name and see if you're covered under the warrantee. I found my auction on ebay, but it was actually through instrumentexchange.com. I was one of the lucky ones, but I know there are "horror stories" out there.

I honestly don't think you'll get the best deal out there buying NEW on eBay. I would look online at reputable sellers and go that route. Now if you want to save money and buy used, then eBay is a great place to do that.

Ebay is a great place to get deals if you know what you're looking for.
As the first responder said, I got my MBOX from a intermusic exchange seller.
Check the Seller's score and recent positive feedback

Last but not least by all means pay w/ paypal... you'll be glad you did
Paypal eliminates the horror stories , fi you don't get what you paid for, then send it back and get your money back !! peace
