Nothing fancy. Gigabyte RX570 at least. Maybe a gigabyte or sapphire rx590 at most.

Is your corsair Rmx750 psu working good with the LG1200 boards? Pcpartspicker told me it was missing some pins in order to be fully capable.

Uh hold on? What exact audio interface are you using for Pro Tools? I hope not the HDMI audio over your graphics card.

Right now just my basic scarlett 2i2 powers my Adam a7xs. Was going to look into better TB3 interfaces once PC is built. Just using my macbook pro right now.

Is it true NVidia cards can cause latency in pro tools? The last decision I have to make now is GPU. Stuck on geforce series or Rx series but it's basically just coming down to amd vs nvidia.

I don't know about that GPU question, I just wanted to make sure you have an ASIO interface and you do with the 2i2.

I run 3 AMD cards pushing 5 monitors. No issues.

My current decision is whether or not I should go down to the i7s and use an i7 10700k instead of a i9 10900k. Would save almost 400 dollars [/QUOTE]

Well.. I dont know about the i7 10700, but I just tested my new pc with i9 10920X, and that didnt seem to handle VI,s pretty well

Care to elaborate?

What are the rest of your specs? Which VIs?

I ended up going with the 10700k, 128gb of DDR4 CL 16 RAM.

Absolutely,
I got my new pc a few days ago. These are the specs;

ASUS Geforce GT 1030 2GB Silent
Intel Core i9-10920X cpu
HyperX Fury RGB DDR4 3200MHz 32GB
Kingston A2000 500GB NVMe M.2 SSD
Seagate BarraCuda 1TB 3.5" HDD x2 for samples and audio
ASUS Prime X299-A II, Socket-2066

The pc gives a overall good impression, really snappy..
Also pro tools runs fine, but the cpu usage is way to high.
I have done the standard windows optimizations.

I have to use asio4all since my interface still is in repairs, and I know this is not ideal for performance.

But when I load up NI action strings the cpu meter just stays at 100%
I am testing this at 64 samples. When I increase to 256 it is better of course. But it is not much better than my old i7 980X witch is 10 years old.... and that is really disapointing.
This pc was really expencive, almost 2800$, and if this is the performance I can expect I could have got a much cheaper pc..

I hope things will get better when I get my interface back, with a proper asio driver, since its a Antelope OS 2017 I know the driver is a little.... not the best....

How is the 10700?
