Default Easy, quick way to transfer playlists from one track to another?

Say I have 2 tracks, each with 10 playlists. I'd like to move the playlists from 1 track to the other, so it'll be 1 track with 20 playlists. Is there a quick easy way to do this? I'm not seeing it. Or would I have to create 10 new playlists one by one in one of the tracks and then highlight and drag the clips to the empty playlists?

Also, is there a way to create a bunch of new playlists on a single track, kinda like how you can create a bunch of new tracks with shift-command-N?

To 'move' them you can select each one from another track using the "other playlists" submenu.

Check out "Assigning a Playlist to Another Track" on pg 628 of the Ref Guide.

Not aware of a command to create multiple new playlists on a track (other than maybe the options with Loop Recording or Expand Alternate Takes).

No elegant way that I'm aware of, but I'd do this:

- engage loop recording
- set length to 1 sec (shortest you can have)
- record a bunch of "dummy" clips
- clear the dummy clips
- drag the clips from the other track onto the newly created playlists

Loop Recording, my way, too.
But I clear the dummy clips, when the transfer is done; otherwise, if one changes meanwhile the track view to anything else than playlist, the newly created and now empty playlist will not be shown anymore. (At least in PT 11.)
And, "automatically create new playlists when loop recording" has to be set in the prefs.
