Default Who's got Ableton 10 (beta) and Push2? Rewire changes noted

I'm on 2018.1 Mac and using the current Ableton 10 beta - interestingly (well for me anyway), for the first time in Rewire I can access Ableton via the Touchable app whilst running Pro Tools, and remote/control surfaces are now an option in 10. So for the first time I can jam with Touchable selecting clips whilst hearing it through rewire in PT. Great. Also I can output external midi channels to synths from Ableton using the clips patterns etc. Booted up 9 again and looks like indeed this is new functionality. I can also use my Faderport 8 in MCU mode and control Ableton 10 in slave mode.

Which makes me wonder if anyone here has Push 2 and see if it becomes an available option when Live is in Slave mode please? It was the one thing putting me off. Would be odd if 3rd party apps can do this and the official one can't

(and no sadly VST's don't run in slave mode before you ask...)

thanks,
yes just start up a blank session, set the LIVE rewire plugin up on an aux, then launch Live, should be in rewire mode - transport controls PT and vice versa. No VST's should be available , another way of checking.

Then in midi prefs in Live , see if the push is an option as remote, or however else you'd normally set it up in a live session. if it is, please select and see if you can change/launch clips etc when PT is running and if the push controls the transport..

if not then i'll be sticking with Touchable!

After a few hours diddling with rewire (almost never use that) it turns out that it works as advertised
