Thumbs up soothe - dynamic resonance suppressor

I thought I'll not be buying any plugins anymore.. I demoed this for 30 seconds and it was clear, this will replace all my dynamic eq's. The only downside for me is that the latency is big and with my PT10HD system I will need to print this down, but it's worth it. Check it out! soothe

Says on the site that it'll work on Mac OS 10.7 through 10.12 at 32 bit. Should work fine for Pro Tools 10.

No, it wont run in PT10.

They only offer AAX in 64 bit

see here - at the bottom.

Just looked again and it's a bit confusing. They mix up OS specs with format specs. One of the reasons I think that it works is because the OP seems to be using it in Pro Tools 10HD. Just re-read the opening post. I'm not at my studio at the moment so I can't check but will do later.

Hey Kristos, just downloaded the demo but the registration process seems a little off. I still haven't received an e-mail from them with my serial number. Do you know if they send those out by hand or is it automated like most companies these days. Thanks in advance for any advice about this.

Just tried it. Turns out that you're right, it's only AAX 64 bit, but you can use it in Bluecat or another AU host. Not sure how Kristos is using it in P Tools 10. He's right though, it has mega latency. You would have to print it if you use it in P Tools 10 because the latency is higher than what the 32 bit version of P Tools can handle, unless of course you run an extremely low buffer size.

It's great to see guys like Ollie,
and Dennis from Zynaptiq,
really pushing the boundaries of working in the box
by thinking outside the box.

Rather than, did I really see three new tape sims introduced last month?

Soothe is a brilliant solution to a common problem,
dealing with resonances, particularly when receiving files from home studios.

Along with another new tool that it can work hand in glove with,
called DeEdger which works on harsh transients.

These are the sort of devs we need to support and encourage
to keep them coming with their innovative ideas.

Still sad thinking about Paul Frindle throwing up his hands and depriving us of his talents.
