Mbox 2 Transposing ( NEED HELP GUYS)

Hello guys, my name is Andre Batista, i'm a Brazilian musician and i need your help.
Last October i bough the Mbox2-protools 8.0.4 deal. I always had trouble about my macbook pro recognizing the Mbox but now, since i moved back to Brazil, the Mbox is not only transposing 1/2 step down any music, but is slowing down as well.. even when i'm not using the protools. That means that every type of audio ( i tunes, youtube) that i listen is half step down.
As you may assume by now,that i did uninstall and re install a couple of times, checked and changed the sample hates, and of course i saw all the videos and read the manual.

I did contact the brazilian dealer but, as usual.. no reply.

It sounds like its a computer problem. Try reinstalling the OS.

Would you care to explain exactly how that would help?

I'll try to install the OS again.. It is really weird, new computer, new software..
