Digi001 with XP sound card issues
Hello...I just purchased a used Digi001 unit for use on my XP system. I installed the Digi001 sound card and the software. The software will open and function. However, I am having a big problem getting my CPU to recognize the soundcard properly. When I go to Control Panel> Sounds and Audio Devices, the Volume tab indicates "no audio device" and the drop down box is not functional. However, when I go to the audio tab, the Digi001 card is listed for sound playback and MIDI. I have tried uninstalling XP service pack 2 already as I saw this mentioned in another forum, but have had no luck in getting the sound card to work properly. Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Re: Digi001 with XP sound card issues
You need to install the wavedriver. Instructions for it's use should be in the appendix of the Getting started guide that came with the 001.

Re: Digi001 with XP sound card issues
Thanks, I actually got it working with everything except streaming audio using Digi MME helper. I will install the wave driver as you suggest.
Thanks for the response. |

Re: Digi001 with XP sound card issues
I'm starting to see that this is going to be a problem on my XP computer. For instance, I used to run a DAT deck into my Echo Mia MIDI card through s/pdif and record into Wave Lab. When I run the DAT into the s/pdif on the Digi 001, I get nothing.
So basically without a two-way sound driver, I am screwed as far as recording anything other than within Pro Tools? |
