There´s a digidesign ad in the German studio magazin for a product called "Control24". Only a picture from the side is there.
"designed by focusrite for ProTools". Looks like this is the kind of new procontrol...
The link www.digidesign.com/control24 (which is in the ad) doesn´t work so far.

i went to the local digi rep today and was told this.....
aparently this unit is or will be like a pro control but with focusrite mic pre's ,16 i believe? also a 24 fader unit?
couldnt give me anymore info than that.
called digi and they had no idea what i was talking about!!!!
sounds firmiliar as they would'nt want to release any preliminary info to affect there pro control sales,but they should know something considering they are focusrite reps.
please forgive me digi if im wrong and just starting the rumor mill as this is not my intension,and perhaps this fellow i spoke to was just talking through his hat, i don't know but as a fellow who owns a hui and is frustrated by midi latancy etc,perhaps this could be the answer asuming this has the mic pre's etc it could be the final link in the pro tools chain and no main recording console would be nesecery and not just a control surface!!! the price???? who knows.
if any one has any more info please let me know .

This is just awsome looking I wouldnt mind getting my hands on it but no doubt the price will be a killer in comparison to the PC...

Our local rep says 16 faders (not the nice touch-sensitive ones, though), mic pres, not expandable, cheaper than Pro Control. He will have tech specs (but not, unfortunately, a demo) tomorrow at a sales presentation. Guess I'll have to check it out.

Or you can go to NAMM and see for yourself.

As far as I can see it on the picture and read the article on smm-online.de it has:
24 touch-sensitive/motorized faders,
16 Focusrite Class A microphone-preamps,
connection to ProTools via Ethernet,
Integrated Submixer with 8 Stereo ins,
Automation for Plug-In Parameters.
