Default Bought monthly subscription, can't activate

Hey there gang, just joined after purchasing PT12 this afternoon...the download and installation all went fine but my license isn't showing up in my iLok account and so it won't let me activate. I've tried hitting synchronize but nothing appears. Help!

If it helps, my order # was 6472068.

Hi and Welcome

This is a user forum so none of us can help you with issues with licenses so in your Avid account there are ways to start a ASC (support case) and if you already done so then someone from Avid will contact you as soon as possible. It is the weekend now so hopefully there are someone working on support cases anyway.

Make sure you have activated the license under avid account and where it says products not yet doenloaded and that you do all the steps outlined here.

Check emails and the junk folder aswell as sometimes emails end up there which they shouldn't.

Hang Tight.

Ahh my bad...I had seen posts before that seemed to have been replied to by Avid staff so I thought they poked their head in here now and again. I've opened a ticket with them but from what I've gathered it may be a while before I hear back so I thought this might be quicker.

Anyway thanks for the heads up, once I get up and running I'm sure I'll be back to ask some serious noob questions. Been recording in Sonar for 15+ years but I am completely new to PT so I'm sure I'll need some pointers while I'm transitioning over.

Cheers

Welcome to the community.

This is a user forum, but we do try to jump in especially when there's an account or licensing issue since that needs more info than should be shared in a forum (or with other users).

Will look for your case, but checking in our iLok tool shows you have 2 accounts. One has your iLok registered to it, and the other (which uses your email as your ID) has your licenses which were deposited 12/16. You can Remove the iLok from one account and register it to the other, then activate the licenses to it. Hope that helps.

Ahh very confusing...I had no idea there was even a 2nd account, it must have been created when I bought PT. One username is simply ---- (where my other licenses are) and one is email, and both accounts use that email address as my contact. Didn't think it was even possible to have 2 accounts with the same contact email.

Anyway many thanks for bringing this to my attention, hopefully I can do what you mention and just deactivate it from the one and add it to the other.

Yes, just deactivate any licenses from the iLok then right+click > Remove it.

P.S. I edited out your User ID and email address since it's best to not post those in a public forum.
