Default pro tools running choppy!!!

hey guys just got my new dell demension e520 desktop and i have an m-box 2 pro i have a few probelms with getting a clear signal setup everyhting that the manual told me to so the computer can perform at it's best, but i can't seem to get a signal, i do for a minute then it goes away, what should i do, i tried different hw buffer sizes and everything in the playback engine but i alos had to buy a firewire PCI card, it was a cheaper one, is there a recommended one that digidesign requires for pc's, can someone pleae help me out i'm dying

You really need to read and try all of the suggestions in the
General Troubleshooting thread, including all of the linked pages there about compatibility, paying close attention to the detials. If none of the suggestions helps, then post your complete system specifications as recommended at the end of that thread.
