Angry Sounds (*Includes iTunes) thru a 003

Hi! I've trying to listen my iTunes files (music files) thru my 003 interface. But, for now i can't do this. Please, could somebody help me?

My System: 003 Rack+ with Pro Tools 9.0.5, Macbook Pro 13" running Mac OS 10.6.8

I've read a couple other posts that looks like iTunes/Firefox has trouble using the core audio/ ASIO driver. I haven't tried messing around with it myself but a work around would be to get an 1/8" to 2X 1/4" cable (http://www.theproaudioguys.com/Acces...-p3180445.html) and go from your Mac's sound card to the Aux In on the back of the 003. Hope you figure out your problem!

Yes, I think BillDog793 wrote already the best solution without a big problems.

If you want to play things on iTunes, from a browser or anything else of the mac.. hit the aux-in button and all s fine. you can adjust the volume with the intern mac volume, via itunes, via the knob on the 003... many ways.

It's great when you want to hear just parts of song (itunes) when you mix your own and don't want to load every thing into the session.

Go into your Mac's sound output preferences and make sure that Digidesign 003 is selected, (the 003 has to be turned on prior to booting the Mac).

Should work fine.

anything needing sound using the core audio and my 002r has always been problematic. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it doesn't and I need to restart.

On the other hand, my 002r with Protools has been great.

I'm not much help, but all I can say is good luck!
