Default Having problems with ProTools!!!!!!!!

Was using ProTools LE 7.4 just a couple of days ago, & decided 2 upgrade to PT8 which now seems to have been a bad idea because all of a sudden when i try & open the application I just get a spinnin ball..... Cannot force quit the application, this is happenin to logic too. I try to open the application and it just freezers.... I have tried uninstalling the programs and then reinstalling them to no avail. No other applications are affected, just ProTools & logic.... Any ideas please, would b appreciated. Thx

From what you're describing, it sounds like you installed Protools 8 with 7.4 already on the computer. This is not recommended. PT8 is a full installer and does not need a previous version on the computer, and it's better not to have it.

Do a clean uninstall of both programs, then just install PT 8 by itself and see how that works out.
