Default Trashed Prefs, now no sound

Hi again. I trashed my preferences to see if it might help with another issue I was having. Anyways, now when I open the session I see a brief "deactivating master out" or something similar, and there is no sound hitting my interface, despite all tracks/buses showing fine. I saw a thread that mentioned deleting all the ins/outs within the "I/O" dialog, but if memory serves, that will throw all my session's routing out, will it not? Is there another way to solve this? It's a big session and there are lots of inactive tracks/frozen buses that I'd rather not backtrack to fix. Thanks!

Check the "audio engine" under the Setup>Hardware menu. Trashing prefs may have reset that to something OTHER than your desired interface. Next step for me would be to open the IO setup>output tab and check everything there. Scrolling top to bottom might reveal some incorrect routing, such as a path labelled like your usual outputs, but not correctly mapped. Or you might find duplicate path names or unconnected paths.

With a complicated setup like my previous studio(where I had 64 possible IO paths), not only did I save my correct settings(using the Export button), I also saved screen captures of IO routing and the settings for my 4 interfaces(2x 192 IO's and 2x HD IO's)
