Avid is not completely at fault with this -- although there are ways they could render fonts to clear it up.

Here are before and after so you can see the stark differences:

If anyone is interested in a configuration file for mactype PM me.
Also, after writing this post-- I decided to start programming a solution to fix these issues. Will keep you guys updated. But I hope before I finish AVID will beat me to it.
Adjusting ClearType Fonts in Windows has the EXACT SAME RESULT!

Absolutely not, you are highly delusional. Those before settings are with clear-type tuned.

Who doesn't use Windows with ClearType anyway. It is the default rendering engine on all Windows 7+ boxes. Hilarious.

Either way back to the issue at hand. I started coding the C API fixes I needed.
While probing the publicly available window classes for ProTools 12.5...You can see even though Avid has switched branding to "Avid" it still maintains legacy classes named Digi-this Digi-that.

Also, The fixes for the decorations are fairly easy. I guess I will make the adjustments before avid. If it is viable I will share my fixes.
Maybe even post my progress on the forum.
I appreciate the comments so far.

ClearType used in the Wrong Hands with the Wrong settings is worse than Not having.

I totally agree, pro tools looks ugly on Windows 10 and it doesn't have to.
Avid just doesn't care enough to make pro tools a decent looking application on windows.
Studio One 3 looks consistent and beautiful on both mac and pc because Presonus cares about both platforms.
