Question Help me Setting up with new Mabook Pro

Hi there,
I bought a new Macbook Pro and need to run protools on it.
this is my "old" setup:
Mac Pro 2,66GhZ(2007) with Digi 002R, OSX 10.5.6, Pro Tools 7.4.2. Duende PCIe.

Now the MBP comes with Lion, and has a FW800 port, 2xusb2 and Thunderbolt.
I need to work with external Diskspace(2x2TB Drives). How can i connect them? Right now they are inside the Mac Pro.

Thanks a lot in advance!

A couple of things to note here:

You mentioned you have 7.4.2. This will not work in Lion (which is what your Macbook Pro has) so you will need to upgrade to preferably Protools 10 (you might try 9, but it's still a beta version that works with Lion).

There's no way to make the new Macbook go back to running Leopard.

Also, I don't know what kind of disk drives you have, but it's not a problem to daisy chain 2 drives and a 002 off one firewire port. You will need an external enclosure for your drives. These work great:

As for the Duende, if you have one of the new 17" Macbook Pros that have the Express Card slot, you may be able to use it that way with a PCIe to express card adapter.

If you don't have the 17" and therefore don't have an Express Card slot, then you will have to use Thunderbolt, and the product you need is not yet out, but will be soon. It is a PCIe to Thunderbolt chassis. Sonnet has a 1 slot version coming out in January, and Magma has a 3 slot version coming out in December.

O.K., is there no Protools Version i can run under Lion? I can upgrade to 10, am expecting to do so. The Duende Problem is not that important as i can go native with the SSL Plugins.
It's the 15" MBP.
Is the Daisy-Chain method stable and able to handle big Sessions and Recording 16 Tracks at low latency settings?

Thanks again,
