I'm sure you have a good reason not to convert... but I can't think of one! Surely, you'd want to not suffer this ancient format in the future when it becomes even harder to open?

Apple has been threatening to drop support for the SD2 disk format since System 8 was released! I don't know about APFS but I wouldn't count on it not hosing the files exactly the way copying them to a windows or Linux disk will.

Curiosity. Because I have a ton of sessions I'm really only interested in opening to see what's in them. I work in broadcast production, and I have absolutely no need to archive them. But I do see your point.
