ATTO SCSI cards + Akai samplers
Just a point of info if you are using an ATTO Express single SCSI card and an Akai S3000 sampler/MESA - they're not compatible!! However - if you have a spare PCI slot, install something like an Adaptec 2906 SCSI card (25-pin) to connect your sampler & MESA seperately from the ATTO card - BUT, DO be SURE to install this SCSI card in PCI slot #1 (this is on a b/w G3 350 btw), or it won't be recognised, and also, MESA requires the sampler to be in position 1 to work ! I found this out after several hours of troubleshooting recently ! Hope it's of use to someone, somewhere, sometime....
