Buying Oktava online

hello, i bought my pair in 2001 and dont regret it. typically anymore not my go to mic, but when my collection was smaller i used them a LOT. percussion, acoustic guitar, and drum overheads if i was short on mics. i think they are well worth the money. i might see if you can just get 2 units seperatley for cheaper, not the kind of mic i would pay extra for a stereo pair for. check the evil world of guitar center or sweetwater or ebay. should be able to get a better price.

Believe it or not, the mod that can be done is like taking a pillow off the mic. The 012 for the money is a great mic. I used to use them for overheads initially, but now have moved them to hat and ride mics only. Use either the 103's for overheads or the APEX 435's. The mic is great though if place correctly and I always take the -10db pad capsule off.

I own 4 of them and use them all the time for things.

You will not be disappointed. Are there better? You bet, but again for the money, good deal.
