Default Vision Pro - Pro Tools

Apple announced yesterday Vision Pro. Well finally we will have the possibility to use PT in augmented reality. It may seem stupid but im sure it will be an experience of a kind.

What do you guys think?

It seems like it might be cool... but at the introductory price of $3499.00, I'll be sitting that one out for a while.

It looks to me like this first one is a standalone product rather than a peripheral. None of the keynote presentation showed it interacting with anything outside of the device itself (other than streaming/cloud stuff). But it would be very interesting to see if the Avid Control app would run on it...

It also seems to be very much a stationary device: sit on your couch and do stuff with it. Far too clunky to walk around the neighborhood, besides the fact that you'd look like a dweeb.

But it does point in some interesting directions, doesn't it? When my computer monitors finally give up the ghost it might be very nice to have some version of this as a possible replacement.
