Default Lite On CD Burner

Has there been a lot of people experiencing good results with the "Lite On 52x24x52 CDRW Model LTR-52246" reccomended for the Allen machine? Or does the low price have a lot to do with the recommendation?

Is there something better or is this the way to go?

I've been using Sony and Plextor drives... but Lite On OEM's some of the Sonys (or is it the other way around?) - anyway, they should be just fine, but the most universally praised CD-RW's are probably Plextors. They definitely cost more though.

Actually I had Plextor drives listed last year and after talking with Newegg service department about their best drives they told me that they have had the least returns and problems with the new Lite On drives and it was their biggest seller now. I've used one for about a year and it works great.
