Hi according to the music genre I want to stay on topic with the avid products and talk about a few more pieces of equipment that fit my purpose for making beats. I haven't heard that the Avid s6 would be only fitting for making beats, the Avid s6 is my favorite and I want to use it for recording vocals, mixing and mastering, videos and making beats.

Q&A

1. Would you be able to connect the Akai Professional MPC X SE Standalone Sampler & Sequencer to the Avid s6 and make beats.

2. Can you connect this type of equipment up to the Avid s6.

3. Can I use the Avid s6 only for making beats.

The S6 is a control surface for mixing and editing, and would have nothing to do with creating beats. Its also a VERY EXPENSIVE control surface that is generally not a consideration for those outside high-end studios and post houses. I'd suggest that maybe you are trying to run before you have learned how to walk? Slow down and learn Pro Tools (a recording/editing program) and beat making(a separate skill that can be done in Pro Tools, but is often done in another program such as Abelton Live) Good luck on your journey
