graphic Problem in inserts and sends

Hi
Im using ver 10.3.9 of Protools HD
But I can not see correctly anything in sends and inserts on my laptop
it's Macbook Pro 13 Retina
What should I do?

Not sure I entirely understand what you're saying, but, for instance, when you select edit window>view> do you have "inserts A-E" checked, and "Sends A-E" checked? (Same goes for the mix window, just depending on what you want to see on which window.)

I mean none of the options like plugins , etc that suppose to be appeared when you click on inserts or sends menu are not shown correctly . Just by moving the mouse curser up or down you can see those options on those menu

I have the same problem with those menu options, the color is inverted so blank when they drop down but as you roll the curser over them the text appears in white against a black background. I hear from an Apple guy that this is due to the "pro kit" look of the new OS. It's very annoying because other than that PT works fine on Mavericks and Yosemite. I don't suppose we will ever see a fix for it though. Avid want us to invest more of our hard earned in purchasing PT 11 which actually doesn't work as well as PT 10, but that's progress I guess!

Same problem here, tried everything, also reinstalling everything, the problem stays. Dear Avid, please...a fix. I still like my Pro Control so much;-)

Seems like many are reporting this issue with the Protools 10.x and the new Apple OSX 10.10 Yosemite. Is that what you are running? Since Yosemite just came out 1 day ago, it is unlikely that Avid can fix it is a short period of time (maybe a month or two). Worst case is that they won't fix it at all. Protools 10 has virtually been abandoned (They haven't fixed it for OSX10.9 Mavericks for about a year).

The best thing to do is reformat your drive and reinstall 10.8.5 Mountain Lion as that is the last certified OS for Protools 10.x. The problem however, those that bought a new Mac that only works with Mavericks or Yosemite. They will probably need to upgrade to Protools 11 and make sure all their Plugins are upgraded to 64-bit AAX.

The problem is incompatibility between Protools 10.x and OS X 10.10.x Yosemite.

We have been told by the moderators and other Avid knowledgebase documents that Protools 10.x will not get any updated to make it compatible with Mavericks or Yosemite. This includes this video problem with plugin on inserts and sends on Yosemite. Protools 10.3.9 is only certified to work with OSX up to Mountain Lion 10.8.5.

Your options are to either downgrade your OS, or upgrade to Protools 11 which is currently not supported but is expected to get an update to be compatible with Yosemite.

I think that is not right by Avid, especially given that many plugins are not yet AAX. Many other software vendors support the previous version to the last, we are not talking about a version of 5 or more years ago.

I do not like the policy of Avid!
