I am still waiting for the new Command 8. I thought it would be here by now.

I would be happy with their just untethering the 003 console i've already bought and letting me use that control surface with another audio interface like the 2626.

But a better c|8 would be nice.

Probably won't happen, but I would have thought that the next small format control surface will be similar in operation and features to the 003. Who knows when that will be though...

Do you reckon there's anyway to hack a 003? I'd love to use one with HD.

The 003 has a MIDI mode but I've never used it and it seems to be undocumented. That might give a HUI-level of functionality into other apps.

Well, as we can see a new Command 8 is clearly not a priority.

And as we see on ^V|>'s 10-Q, buying Icon consoles is clearly not our priority.

I guess I'll just buy an 003 console and let my 003R collect dust... YEA RIGHT!

I remember when PT8 was being released, on a few popular forums, there were rumors of being able to daisychain the interfaces for more inputs, etc.. I might consider it then..

But I'm sure that'll happen as soon as ADC happens

DIGI is losing a lot of momentum. Other DAW's are looking ALOT more and more appealing to me every day.

I am reluctantly ordering a Command 8. I just finished putting an Axiom Pro 49 through the acid test, and it repeatedly caused PT8 running on my HD3 Accel rig running on a Quad core Mac Pro to crash giving me an error -600 message when trying to re-launch. It seemed good at first, until I started moving aggressively around my sessions, and jumping between, and tweaking parameters on various synths on instrument tracks.
With the keyboard left on after the crashes, it required a reboot for PT to launch; but with the keyboard turned off after a crash, PT would re-launch without a reboot! The Axiom Pro would also freeze occasionally, indicating a PT crash was coming soon.
I'm sending it back, and crossing my fingers that the Command 8 will get the job done until the next thing comes along.
