I'm not sure what else to check. The floppy controller is disabled on the motherboard as are all the USB ports but 2. My 2nd Ethernet driver is disabled in device manager as is my 1394 firewire drive (I have no firewire devices). All my device drivers are up to date from what I can tell.

I have experimented with disabling the onboard audio driver and both Ethernet drivers but no change.

Since the HDX card is in the PCIe 2.0 slot and the new Nvidia graphics card has been installed, recording at 48k is more stable. I've been able to consistently do 16 tracks, 24 bit, 48k with a H/W buffer of 256 samples. I'm trying to do 24 tracks now and eventually 32 tracks at 48k.

Still cannot record anything at 96k consistently. It can't even do 1 track at 32 bits, 96k without the 9171 error or now I sometimes get 9129. I thought the 9129 error message said to increase the H/W buffer size but people here think it says to reduce. I will double check if it happens again.

Very frustrating and hard to pinpoint why the HDX system is so touchy.

Ideas I should try or more information I can give here that may be helpful?
