Pro Tools License Renewal

Hello,

I have a perpetual license for Pro Tools that expired in June 2020 and my last active version that I can use is the Pro Tools 2020.5

What is the cheapest way to renew in order to get the 2020.11 ??

Can I let's say purchase a monthly subscription to get the latest 2020.11 and when it expires I get to keep the 2020.11 ?

There are still a few reinstatements out there not many.

Please google laresistancegroup(.)com and m(.)thomann(.)de they both had a few in stock. At least till yesterday so check it out.

Be very careful if you switch to subscription. Do some serious research.

I have read several reports that users unknowingly surrended their old permanent license during this process, with no way of going back.
You then have no choice but to be making payments to Avid forever in order to keep your Pro Tools software working.

No. This will get you a separate subscription license for Protools 2020.11 (and updates) that will only work so long as you keep paying the monthly subscription fee. Once you stop and it expires, the subscription license for Protools 2020.11 will no longer work. You will then need to go back to using your perpetual license for Protools 2020.5, assuming it was not surrendered (WARNING).

As mentioned above, be VERY careful that you keep these licenses separate. Do NOT surrender your perpetual license to exchange for a subscription license as that will disable your perpetual license forever and you will only have the subscription license, which again stops working once you stop paying and it lapses.

The proper way would be to get reinstated on the perpetual license plan as suggested above, unless you intend to go with the subscription plan for Protools going forward.

i saw bestbuy online still have reinstatements in place, those are the 299 ones.
