Digidesign hardware doesn\'t show up
Hi,
I just installed Pro Tools 7 on my PowerBook G4 running OSX 10.4.7. Pro Tools is working fine with the new 002r, but I cant get any other applications to use the digidesign hardware to output audio. The 002r doesn't show up in "Audio MIDI Setup" as an audio device. The Digidesign CoreAudio driver seems to have installed just fine. Why wont my computer see the 002r? I tried searching for an answer to this but came up with nothing. Any ideas? Sam |

Re: Digidesign hardware doesn\'t show up
Bump,
Any suggestions? Again, the digi coreaudio driver was installed at the same time as Pro Tools, but the 002r does not show up as an audio device in "sound preferences" or "audio midi setup" Can't seem to find any posts with anyone having a similar problem. Thanks in advance, Sam |

Did you go to Applications/utilities/audiomidi setup?

Re: Digidesign hardware doesn\'t show up
I did, that's the problem. The Digidesign hardware doesnt show up as in audio device in audio midi setup. Is there something else I should have done other than installing the digi coreaudio driver?

Re: Digidesign hardware doesn\'t show up
You don't have Pro Tools running when you're looking for the 002 in the sound manager do you? When you run Pro Tools, the option to use it as a core audio device disappears until you quite Pro Tools again.

No, Pro Tools is not running. I've reinstalled the driver, rebooted, looked through every preference. Still can't solve the issue. Should I call digidesign? apple?

Re: Digidesign hardware doesn\'t show up
Have you tried looking for it when the CoreAudio Driver app is open?

Re: Digidesign hardware doesn\'t show up
I don't think I understand your question. If you mean while the app that I want to use the digi coreaudio driver with (ex. iTunes) is open, then yes, I have. Is there another coreaudio driver app that I should be looking for or that needs to be open? I don't think I know how to open the driver itself.
